Longtime TENTH MUSE model, Rena Mero, has passed the torch to an all-new celebrity model, to be announced in early January of 2005.
"This is going to be a big deal in comics," says MUSE writer/creator, Darren G. Davis. "The person that we've chosen to take the mantle of the Tenth Muse is amazing! We are fortunate to have her be part of this, and she is looking forward to becoming a superhero!"
While Davis remains tight-lipped on the identity of the latest model to MUSE, he assures us that she is certainly someone of enormous celebrity talent.
Blue Water has recently begun a misinformation campaign, to keep readers guessing to the REAL identity of their newest celebrity model. Some of the names being heard mumbled throughout various news sites include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cindy Margolis, Heidi Klum, Britney Spears, and WWE Diva, Trish Stratus ... among others.
Which one of these lovely ladies, if any, is the real TENTH MUSE? You'll just have to wait and find out!
To further fuel the fires of excitement, Blue Water Productions - in association with the newly founded publishing house: Alias Enterprises, with Mike S. Miller and Brent Burner - have released several preview pages from the upcoming TENTH MUSE #1, shipping in April 2005 with story by Darren G. Davis and Alex Amezcua!
The issue is described like this:
"The Muse is back and things have not gotten any easier on Mount Olympus. In fact, the future of the entire Greek Pantheon teeters on the brink of extinction. The gods look to Emma Sonnet, the Tenth Muse, to restore their glory and preserve the old ways. But before they can fix this divine rift, the Muse and Ares, the god of war, must find out the cause of this Olympian cancer. And when Olympus finally falls the world itself is poised to suffer."
TENTH MUSE #1 comes with four variant covers, including one foil stamped photo cover featuring the mystery Muse model, and is available for ordering in the January 2005 issue of PREVIEWS catalog.
