The New Universe is alive again thanks to the all-star creative team of Warren Ellis and Salvador Larroca and fans have responded to their all-new take on the 80’s comic line in newuniversal. newuniversal #1 has sold out at Diamond and Marvel is going back to press with an all-new painted variant cover by Esad Ribic, the man behind the covers for last year’s House of M.
newuniversal #1 Second Printing Variant features a homage cover by Ribic of Justice #1, one of the titles that kicked off the New Universe in the 1980’s.
Steven G. Saunders of SilverBulletComicBooks.com calls it "a truly wonderful kick-off for a new series, one of which I think is some of Ellis’ best work."
For a sprawling, realistic but epic take on super humans by Ellis and top-notch Larroca art, you must check out the New Universe reborn in the pages of newuniversal.
Be advised, copies of newuniversal #1 may still be available at the retail level.
