Outlaw Entertainment has announced today that they will lower their graphic novel cover prices from $14.99 to $7.99 beginning with their first three releases, PRAETORIAN, IMAGINARY FRIENDS, and HAT TRICK.
The introductory offer is designed to allow retailers and fans alike to familiarize themselves with the Outlaw brand without putting a major dent in their comic book budget.
The change comes as the industry continues to deal with a shrinking economy that has hit independent publishers hard.
“Outlaw is in a good position,” states Outlaw Entertainment COO, Rick A. Villa. “Being the new kid on the block allows us to step into the game and create our own rules.”
“Everyone was telling us that we had to price our books similar to what other companies were charging,” says CEO, Tony Hobdy. “But the truth is, we don’t want to run our business like everyone else, and by cutting our prices in half, we can make our titles more accessible to more people.”
With an SRP of $7.99, Outlaw Entertainment will be one of the only publishers offering new and original material at throwback prices.
“With costs continuing to rise for consumers, we’re thrilled to offer our readers a more affordable option when they step into their neighborhood comic shop,” continues Hobdy. “And the best part… We’re doing it without having to sacrifice the quality of the material itself.”
Outlaw Entertainment graphic novels feature 112 pages of full-colored storytelling, now at half the cost to consumers.
