Starwarp Concepts—publisher of the acclaimed Lorelei horror comic book series—re-launches in 2011 as a publisher and packager of dark-fantasy books and graphic novels for middle grade, young adult, and adult readers, with an emphasis on tales of urban fantasy and horror. And the 2010 New York Comic Con, held on October 8–10 at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, will be the place to find the latest information on our first releases!
The Starwarp Concepts booth, #554, is where you’ll find author Steven A. Roman (creator of Lorelei, and bestselling author of X-Men: The Chaos Engine Trilogy) and legendary painter Bob Larkin (cover artist of Doc Savage, Dazzler #1, and Tomb of Dracula, among many others) promoting THE SAGA OF PANDORA ZWIEBACK, a Young Adult dark urban-fantasy novel series about a teenaged Goth who teams up with an immortal shape-shifter named Annie to hunt monsters.
BLOOD FEUD, the first novel in the series—in which Pan and Annie must contend with warring vampire clans attempting to unleash hell on earth—is scheduled for release on April 5, 2011.
On sale at the convention (while supplies last) will be full-color prints of Larkin’s cover paintings for the first three novels: BLOOD FEUD, BLOOD REIGN, and STALKERS. These paintings also serve as the basis for our eye-catching company banner—just look for the Goth girl being menaced by a werewolf and a vampiric Elegant Gothic Lolita!
Attendees are encouraged to stop by for our special giveaways (also while supplies last): Pandora Zwieback bookmarks, copies of our 2011 publishing catalog, and print copies of THE SAGA OF PANDORA ZWIEBACK #0—a full-color, 16-page comic (drawn by Eliseu Gouveia) in which Pan introduces you to her book series.
