Moonstone Books is excited to announce the initial shipment of The Phantom Annual #1: Five Days of the Dragon has sold out of its initial shipment at Diamond Comics Distributors. The annual, which caps off the year long, 70 th Anniversary celebration of The Phantom's first appearance in 1936, along with rave reviews, the annual has generated fast-paced retailer reorders that depleted Diamond's overstock in a matter of days.
Featuring five stories written by Ron (Ion, Cyberforce) Marz, Chuck ( Batman, Transformers) Dixon, Tony (Exiles, Negation) Bedard, Rafael (Vampire the Masquerade, Phantom) Nieves and Mike (Lions, Tigers and Bears, Phantom) Bullock, the Annual is the first of it's kind to appear in US comic shops and based on the response from retailers and readers, it won't be the last.
"It's really exciting to see this sort of response for the book," exclaimed Moonstone Editor-in-Chief Joe Gentile. "So far, it's the hottest selling Phantom book we've ever published."
The five stories are brought to life by Disney animator and sculptor Ruben Procopio, Graham ( Phantom Sunday strip) Nolan, newcomer Alan Goldman, Tony (Fables) Akins (w/Ken Wolak) and Juan (Small Gods) Ferreyra.
A Phantom tale like no other, told by ten top talents that only a giant-size Annual could hold! Five Days of the Dragon spans five centuries, as five different generations of The Phantom battle the dreaded pirates of the Singh Brotherhood to control a powerful artifact from feudal China. But even if the Ghost Who Walks defeats his cutthroat enemies, can he hope to withstand the ancient, mystic power that will be unleashed?
While Moonstone Books has feverishly filled reorders from Diamond Comics, the book is expected to be completely sold out within the coming weeks.
If you haven't grabbed up your copy yet, you better put on your Skull Ring and get down to your local comic retailer and get one while supplies last.

"This issue is certainly a must for any fan of the character but it is also actually a very good jumping on point for new readers as well. There is plenty of bang for the buck here – something for everyone in terms of both art and story. If The Phantom Annual were a sampler platter it would be served sizzling hot... grab your copy before it gets cold ." – Broken Frontier
"The artists and the writers all prove their mettle in the first Phantom Annual ." Silver Bullet Com ic Books
