The Phoenix Comicon has added four more comic book guests. They are Jo Chen (cover art for "Runaways"; "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8" comic), Sean "Cheeks" Galloway (cover art "Teen Titans Go"), Terry Moore ("Strangers in Paradise"), and Tim Seeley ("Hack/Slash").

"Brush up, you comic book fans," laughed Amy Black, Guest Liaison Director, "We're going to have quite a show!"

Jo Chen's career has spanned both Asia and the US. She is best known to American comic fans as the cover artist of Runaways and Joss Whedon's current Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic book put out by Dark Horse. Her career in Asia began when she was 14, though she came onto the American comic screen with the Racer X, part of the Speed Racer series published by Wildstorm/D.C. Comics in 2000. Her art is also featured in "Darkminds: Macropolis," "Robotech," and "(Batman &) Robin."
Sean "Cheeks" Galloway is another artist of great skill. He's worked not only as an artist, but as a penciller, character designer, conceptual designer, and toy designer, not only for comic publishing giants (Marvel, Dark Horse, DC, and Image) but also Disney, Hasbro, Sony, and Dreamworks productions. You can see his cover art on "Teen Titans Go," as well as his pencil work on "Venom," and his character design on the "Spectacular Spider-Man" animated series.

"Jo and Cheeks have worked for some of the biggest companies and on some of the biggest projects. I can't wait to pick their brains," said Matt Solberg, the Convention Director.

This coming January will be Terry Moore's first appearance at the Phoenix Comicon. The creator of the popular series "Strangers in Paradise" is recognized by the comics industry as one of the greats, having won the Eisner Award for Best Serialized Story in 1996 (Strangers in Paradise #1-8). He's also wrote "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane" and the "Runaways" for Marvel Comics and is planning his own self-published series, "Echo."

From the new to the returning, Tim Seeley is back! Courtesy of CheaperComics.com, the writer and creator of "Hack/Slash" and a Staff Artist for Devil's Due Publishing is coming back to the Phoenix Comicon. Having started his career as a children's book illustrator, he also drew for the "G.I. Joe" comic before moving on to his current projects, which also include illustrating "Halloween" for DDP and writing "Loaded Bible" for Image.
"We're honored to Tim back and have Terry on board for the first time," said Director of Programming, Joe Boudrie, "To create stories like they have is no easy feet, and we're glad to have them at the Phoenix Comicon."

The Phoenix Comicon is Arizona's largest, multi-media, popular arts convention, focusing on comic books, anime, gaming, music, and film. The Comicon presents a full weekend schedule of guests and programming for hobbyists by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, and gaming worlds.
