Praxis Comics' ongoing mission to introduce new stories and characters of an equally diverse and inspiring nature brings the young publisher to New York City’s Licensing Show with structured goals and a plan to widen the audience for their unique vision beginning in booth #4462 this week. "To broadcast our stories and character properties not only as comics and graphic novels," states Praxis Editor I Chief Trevor Landolt, "but drive them successfully in the development of films, gaming, animation, TV, online, merchandise and more while we generate awareness of our properties and brands."
The New York Licensing Show held by Licensing International is the world’s brand and property marketplace—the very definition of concentrated licensing opportunity. Held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City on June 18th through the 21st, for the twenty seventh consecutive year, the Licensing Show is the be all, end all of licensing opportunities for brand mangers, retailers and consumer product manufacturers. With more than six thousand brands showcased annually, the show is a must attend event for anyone dealing in any facet of the licensing process.
Trevor Landolt: Editor-in-Chief and Jeanine Henning: Executive Editor - of Praxis Comics will both be in attendance to usher in a new era of recognition for the Praxis brand. "The entertainment and brand development sector is open to new ideas right now, and we definitely have fresh and original properties that have and will reach out to all audiences. Praxis Comics is the new age in comics and publishing because we connect the traditional and the new, leaving behind the old, and bring forth creative properties that can bridge into every single entertainment, literature and brand arena ," adds Jeanine Henning, Executive Editor.
In addition to such comic titles as Scarlett’s Curse, Calanrock and Sollitaria, Praxis will have Scarlett's Curse figurines; clothing and jewelry accessories; and the company’s first creator-owned properties Gate of the East Wind by Doug Warr and Aaron Mason; and Anafae by Monica Richards and James Neely. "We truly believe these properties have what it takes to transcend and excel in different media channels," claims Landolt "and we'll have the material on hand to support this belief. So stop by and see for yourself."
Praxis Comics is a South African Comic Book Publisher, based in Pretoria, with offices in Bristol, England. But with a diverse and international range of artists and writers working with and for Praxis Comics, the company is now seen as a global publisher.
