THE AXE MAN RETURNS! Sláine is summoned by the Earth Goddess to travel through time and defend the Britons from Caesar’s legions at the side of warrior- queen Boudica. But the Romans are not to be underestimated, especially with Sláine’s old foe, the demon Elfric, at their side!
Writtten by Pat Mills, he is the creator and first editor of 2000 AD. He is the writer and co-creator of ABC Warriors, Nemesis the Warlock, Sláine, Harlem Heroes and many more. He also developed Judge Dredd and wrote one of the early Dredd serials — ‘The Cursed Earth’. Outside 2000 AD Mills is the writer and co-creator of the long-running classic anti-war story Charley’s War, as well as Marshal Law. He has also written for the Batman, Star Wars and Zombie World series for the US market. Currently Mills is writing the best-selling series Requiem — Vampire Knight.
Artist Glenn Fabry is a classic 2000 AD artist, best known for his innovative and highly detailed work on Sláine, though he has also illustrated Judge Dredd and a Future Shock, not to mention part of the Batman/Judge Dredd crossover story ‘Die Laughing’. Fabry’s best-known work outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic is almost certainly the full run of covers he painted for Preacher.
Dermot Power’s lush painted art has graced Judge Dredd, Sláine and the Batman/Judge Dredd crossover ‘The Ultimate Riddle’. He is currently working in the film industry as a concept designer, where he has contributed to Star Wars, Harry Potter and Batman, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Slaine: Demon Killer is published by 2000AD / Rebellion Publishing and is available late March for £14.99. For more information visit 2000AD
