BF has a preview of the Shinku ashcan by Ron Marz and Lee Moder, including some exclusive pages and character designs. The publisher for the horror-thriller has yet to be announced.
SHINKU is a five-issue horror-thriller from writer Ron Marz and artist Lee Moder, with digital inks by Matthew Waite. Presented in black and white, with spot-red color, and set in modern Japan, SHINKU is a contemporary vampire tale with roots that reach back to the samurai era. The story follows a vampire hunter, the last of her kind, as she battles a powerful clan of vampires. Alone except for a disgraced sumo who serves as her aide, and an American who is drawn into her fight, the hunter must destroy the clan that has been her family's sworn enemies for centuries. No matter who wins ... it will end in blood.
The five-issue series is intended for mature audiences. The publisher is yet to be announced.
