November’s PREVIEWS gives fans of comics and collectibles a glimpse of the exciting products coming to at the start of 2010. The front cover of the month’s catalog features Dark Horse Comics’ MASS EFFECT: REDEMPTION #1, based on the best-selling video game franchise.
A sequel to one of the most popular and critically acclaimed games in Xbox 360 history, Mass Effect 2 is scheduled for a first quarter 2010 release. In conjunction with that release, Dark Horse Comics will release the four-part Mass Effect: Redemption – written by Mass Effect 2’s lead writer, Mac Walters, and drawn by John Jackson Miller (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic).
Picking up on plot thread introduced at the start of the new game, Redemption tells the comic-exclusive story of Dr. Liara T’Soni, the assistant of the game’s protagonist, Commander Shepard, and a mission that takes her to the Milky Way’s dangerous Terminus Systems.
Also solicited in November is DC Comics’ OUTSIDERS #26, the issue that sees DC Executive Editor Dan Didio pick up the reins as regular series writer. Didio is joined by artist Philip Tan and Jonathan Glapion for their opening story, which sees Geo-Force make a deal to add a certain Kryptonian to the team’s roster, making the Outsiders a new target for the world in the process.
Plus, don’t miss these November PREVIEWS editorial features:
FLIPside Featured Theme: “Guess Who’s Coming to (Thanksgiving) Dinner?” – In honor of the coming Thanksgiving holiday, creators name their dream holiday guest-list – five people from any era, dimension, or reality with whom they’d like to share a Thanksgiving meal.
IndieEdge: Robert Venditti – This month’s creator feature spotlights Robert Venditti, best known as the creator and writer that broke into the business with Top Shelf Publishing’s The Surrogates. Currently working on a new thriller called The Homeland Directive, Venditti shares his current comic reading list with PREVIEWS.
Sneak Peeks: In November, comic fans are given a glimpse of DC Comics/Vertigo’s The Bronx Kill and Joe the Barbarian #1 from Grant Morrison as well as Image Comics’ Orc Stain #1, The Weird World of Jack Staff #1, and Rocketbots: Trouble in Time.
Plus: Staff Picks, Our Top 100 Comics and Bestseller Charts, and much more!
