“100 GIRLS #5 is coming this July and we want to support it like most companies supporrt new number ones – we’re hoping to receive that level of interest,” Arcana Studio’s President, Sean O’Reilly offered on the upcoming release of 100 GIRLS #5 which kicks off the second half of the first story-arc. “However, Adam [Gallardo, series writer], Todd [Demong, series artist] and I all agreed that a new number one is too much of a break from what we have done. 100 GIRLS 1 to 4 (which is currently available in a full-color, $9.95 trade) form the first leg of the initial story-arc while issues 5 to 7 finish out Sylvia Mark’s opening tale. So we asked ourselves, how do we generate interest in #5 without doing something cheesy like a re-launch?”
