Dynamite Entertainment released images and information today concerning RED SONJA #17 (SEP063222), the penultimate chapter to the She-Devil with a Sword’s battle against the evil of Kulan Gath.
Scheduled to ship in November, RED SONJA #17 features covers by fan favorite artists Mike Mayhew, Marat Mychels and upcoming artist Paul Renaud, as well as series artist Mel Rubi!
About the release, DYNAMITE stated: “Red Sonja is the original female "action" hero, but Kulan Gath is undoubtedly one of the most powerful villains in comic book history! As the scripts come in from Oeming, we’re on the edge of our seats waiting to see what happens next, and we know the fans are going to go wild when we get to the end of this one! And the addition of covers by Mike Mayhew, Marat Mychels and Paul Renaud this month (with series artist Mel Rubi) makes the event that much more exciting!”
On recent releases, fans and critics are glowing over the RED SONJA series, including Dynamite’s own (well, from our messageboards) Krazyety in a review that he’s spreading around the web.
Best Shots at Newsarama declared: “Oeming’s certainly displayed a knack for warrior tales over time, and he totally gets the brawn (and subtleties) of the genre. This is a strong, great-looking book, and I’m always happy to have read it.”
