Rev up your engines—it’s time for the Rogue Squadron to fly again! It’s an exciting return to the adventures with Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles, and the rest of the Rogues on a mission that will define them as heroes not just of the Rebellion, but as heroes for the whole galaxy!
In the wake of the death of the Emperor and the destruction of the Death Star II, a group of Rebel pilots are looking forward to some well-deserved R & R. Instead, they run into a deadly attack by vengeful Imperials that changes the course of all of their lives . . . “I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to tell a Rogue Squadron tale, especially one set immediately after the destruction of the second Death Star,” commented writer Haden Blackman. “That time period is very rich, allowing for a great deal of conflict and character development as the Rebels transform into the future leaders of the galaxy. I’m especially excited about the opportunity to feature Luke, who is still straddling the line between Rebel Pilot and Commander and Jedi Master. And, of course, being able to tell a story with fan-favorite Wedge Antilles is always rewarding.”
Star Wars: X-Wing — Rogue Leader #1 features the writing talents of Haden Blackman, with dynamic art by Tomas Giorello. It arrives on sale September 21, with a retail price of $2.99.
