R&R Publishing launches RandRComics.com at midnight Monday July 13.
The site will be home to four new and ongoing comics: Bob Sly, P.I, Tales from the Looking Glass, Lightstorm and Pound of Flesh. All will launch with an introduction story and be updated weekly. The update schedule means visitors to the site will find new content almost daily. Also included on the Web site are blogs from the comics’ artists, colorists and writer that will give an unvarnished look at the creative process from generating new story lines to collaborating on design and the processes of publishing. It’s all at readers’ fingertips at RandRComics.com.
Bob Sly P.I.
Writer: Jamie Cottle, Artist: Anthony Peruzzo
Bob Sly P.I., the tale of Polyspecies Interrogator Bob Sly, is featured in Popgun: Volume 4. Set well in the future, the story follows Sly as he mediates intercultural conflicts on a galactic scale. An example of comedic science fiction in the vein of TV’s Futurama, Bob Sly P.I. will entertain readers with top-notch art and storytelling as it offers a satirical look at what the future of the galaxy will look like.
Tales from the Looking Glass
Writer: Jamie Cottle, Artist: Anthony Peruzzo
Written as an homage to the 60’s TV classic The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Looking Glass turns to the darker side of science fiction. Readers will follow surprise turns as plots lead to unexpected endings with a moral twist.
Lightstorm
Writer: Jamie Cottle, Artist: Eric Roman, Colorist: Robert Bleacher
RandRComics.com revs up the action with Lightstorm. After his kind is wiped out by evil forces, Lighstorm is left to roam the universe before finding his way to planet Earth. Readers will experience full-throttle action and adventure as the last of the Light Storm Brigade defends his newly adopted home planet from the dangers of the universe.
Pound of Flesh
Writer: Jamie Cottle, Artist: Jack Cottle, Colorist: Noelle Giffin
Mixing noir-style storytelling with a horror theme, Pound of Flesh is the tale of a dead cop turned zombie hero. Only to find rest when his untimely death is avenged, our decayed hero regenerates his body parts after eating the flesh of those responsible for his murder. Readers will root for the undead in this hard-boiled noir about justice and “just desserts.”
