San Francisco, CA (March 10, 2008) -- eigoMANGA and AsianWeek Produces The Anime Street Pavilion At The Fourth Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration In San Francisco's Japantown.
The Anime Street Pavilion celebrates the otaku (anime fan) culture in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anime fans all over the Bay Area are invited to an exciting day-long programming line-up of live Japanese rock performances, an anime theme runway fashion show featuring original anime clothing lines from Japanese and Bay Area fashion designers, anime cosplay masquerade, as well as additional features from the Fourth Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration.
The Fourth Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration will be held on Saturday May 17, 2008 in San Francisco's Japantown. The Asian Heritage Street Celebration is San Francisco's largest All-Asian event featuring Asian American artists, DJs, martial arts, today's Asian pop culture, j-cars, a Muay Thai kickboxing ring, a karaoke contest, arts and crafts, anime, and free community health screenings. In the four years since it's inception, the outdoor event has quickly become the country's largest assemblage of Asian Americans. The 2007 event broke an outdoor record of over 90,000 attendees.
