Sarsgaard in "Green Lantern" Talks

Variety reports that Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to join the cast of Warner Bros.' Green Lantern as the villainous Hector Hammond. Hammond, who has no supervillain alias, becomes a telepathic-genius when he is exposed to a radioactive meteor.
Sarsgaard joins Ryan Renolds and Blake Lively who are set to play Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris.
Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro) will direct, and the film will start shooting in March with a projected release date of June 17, 2011.
