Hot on the heels of announcing the signing of artist Tyler Kirkham for three more years, Top Cow Productions has just added their newest artistic breakthrough to the stable.
Croatian sensation Stjepan Sejic, who has taken comics by storm with his lush colors as seen on titles such as Darkness/Wolverine and covers such as Savage Red Sonja, has signed an exclusive contract with Top Cow Productions.
And Sejic will continue to spread his wings beyond just coloring alone. In addition to debuting his digital painting skills on December's Darkness Level 1, the multimedia artist will be illustrating fully-painted issues of Witchblade, starting with January's #105 and running through #107. Witchblade #105 will also feature the return of a longtime favorite Top Cow character, The Magdalena.
“I'm thrilled to have these great opportunities, and to be working for a company as prestigious as Top Cow,” Sejic said. “It's only been a short time that I've been working in American comics, and it's wonderful to get this kind of recognition already.”
“Stjepan is an artist we've had our eye for some time”, said Top Cow VP Sales and Marketing Filip Sablik. “We already knew he was an incredibly skilled colorist, but once we saw the caliber of his painted work we knew it would be a short time before this newcomer was a household name.”
