Rich with authentic Viking mythology, Runes of Ragnan delivers readers an epic journey across the battlefields of a millennium. Two immortal brothersstitched from opposite sides of the same power collide through centuries, and their confrontation ripples across the entire globe.  As with all good stories, the epic scope serves as a backdrop for characters intimately brought to life page-by-page, panel-by-panel.

Writer Ty Gorton (GUNN, MC13) is committed to including as much Norse history as possible while creating an engaging extension of the mythology.  Penciller Josh Medors (FUSED!, Horrorcide, Dial M for Monster) injects each page with unbelievable detail and some of the most dynamic panel layouts seen in the industry.  Combined with the talent of inker Ryan Ottley (Invincible, OZF5, Ted Noodleman), each page is an obvious labor of love.  Veteran colorist Jay Fotos (Spawn, Sam & Twitch, Dracula vs. King Arthur) ensures the Runes of Ragnan world is one of the most beautiful offerings in comic books today.

30 Days of night creators Ben Templesmith and Steve Niles join the mix as well, with Ben on covers and a foreword from Steve in issue #1.

RoR: A Brief History
This is not the first time Runes of Ragnan has appeared on the scene.  In 2003, under the Roaring Studios label (now defunct), RoR almost saw the light of day.  Unfortunately, the timing simply wasn’t right, and the book has waited in limbo…until now.  Silent Devil Productions has picked up the title with incredible enthusiasm, and the fate of RoR has never looked so bright.

“I am proud that Silent Devil is able to make RoR available to the many fans that have supported the book along the way.  It is an amazing project,” says Christian Beranek, Editor-in-Chief of Silent Devil.

Wizard World LA
Writer Ty Gorton and penciller Josh Medors will be at Silent Devil Production’s artist alley table 2030 in Wizard World LA March 18 - 20, armed with a full size, full color Wizard World Exclusive Runes of Ragnan poster. Comic book enthusiasts will be able to witness the eye popping original artwork, talk to the creators, and preorder the book.
