Law enforcement drama is a popular entertainment subject in television, novels, and comic books, but Rômulo Soares came up with the storyline of Lethal about 6 years ago. Through those years he has gone through many incarnations with different pencillers before settling upon the final version that will be coming out April 2005 from Alias (http://www.aliasenterprises.com) Publishing.
For Rômulo’s creation, the storyline is a police & suspense with terror touches and super-hero action in an urban atmosphere... Things that he is a big fan of and something he hopes will attract new readers and fans to the series.
Rômulo is very happy with the partnership between Lynx (www.lynx-studio.com) and Alias. When asked about why Alias opposed to other creator owned publishing companies, he says that the contract with Alias is the best in the market.
Rômulo: "I know Mike makes some time, my studio (Lynx Studio) makes works in some projects for him. Mike spoke to me about the new company that he would be director and his thoughts for the company, I loved that and I sent it quickly the stuff for him to be looking, the approval was fast and I am very happy of Lynx Studio partnership with Alias. It will be great to be publishing through Alias, the contract with the publisher is the best that I got in the market, with that and support that I had from Mike, I would not have a better choice."
Lethal Instinct is the story about Frank Aaron, a police officer in Blackstone City who carries a curse in the form of severe Lycanthropy — Frank is a werewolf. Sharing the secret of his plight with Dr. Carl Sanchez and his homicide partner Daniel Whitman, Frank hopes to control or end his curse in order to join “The Special Division” which deals in superhuman and paranormal cases to help those like himself.
As mentioned before, Lethal Instinct is one of the four new titles that will be released by Alias in April. The first issue will be 75 cents and will be available for pre-order in the February 2004 Previews catalog.
