Simon & Schuster Sign Deal With Boom!

Simon & Schuster, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a sales and distribution agreement with BOOM! Studios. Under the agreement, Simon & Schuster will handle sales, distribution and fulfillment for all new and backlist titles to trade and specialty accounts in the United States. The agreement is effective immediately.
“BOOM! Studios has a unique line of graphic novels of wide- ranging appeal," said Michael Selleck, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Simon & Schuster. "They are an excellent fit with our existing list, and we look forward to helping them expand their presence in traditional bookselling and specialty outlets.”

Studios CEO Ross Richie said, “This is a critical step in our plan to build a mass market presence via newsstand and the book channel to represent some of the biggest and best brands in the world, such as our Pixar and Muppets comic books, as well as Farscape, Philip K. Dick's science fiction classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and upcoming blockbusters like Die Hard.”
