The March 6th will feature a discussion called Comics Econ 101 and will feature Eisner Award nominated cartoonist Ethan Nicolle as an artist in semi-residence. Nicolle is the creator of Chumble Spuzz, a graphic novel series published by SLG and is also the co-creator (along with his five year old brother) of the wildly popular Axe Cop webcomic.
Also included in the days events are a workshop lead by SLG President Dan Vado on how to put together a comic or graphic novel proposal. Vado will also review portfolios for al in attendance. "The proposal panel will, of course, be presented from the SLG perspective, but I think a lot of other publishers ask for much the same information we do so there should be a good deal of carry-over and value for people regardless of where they plan on submitting their project" added Vado
Admission to the workshop is $19.95, advance registration is recommended. More details on all of the classes offered by SLG as well as registration information for the March 6th event can be found at www.slgcomic.com/workshops
Date: Saturday March 6th
Location: SLG Publishing, 577 S. Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113
Time; 10-5 PM Cost $19.95
