SLG Releases Comics Festival Guest List

SLG Publishing announced the line-up for the San Jose Comics Festival mini-event on January 16th. Artists highlighting the inaugural event will include Rich Koslowski (Three Geeks) , Tom Hodges (artist of the Star Wars: Clone Wars webcomic), Vernon White (previewing his upcoming graphic novel Bird House), Jamaica Dyer (Weird Fishes). Also appearing will be VIz Comics Senior Editor of Original Content Eric Searleman who will be on hand to review artists portfolios.
In addition to the artists SLG announced two new sponsors of the event. Panelfly (www.panelfly.com) will have representatives on hand to do product demonstrations of their iPhone comics reader app and to pass out free t-shirts and stickers. SLG Publishing president Dan Vado also announced that the San Jose Downtown Association (www.sjdowntown.com) had signed on to the Comics Festival as a sponsor and would be helping promote the event with email marketing to it's member businesses as well as to the thousands of people who are signed on to the San Jose Downtowner email list.
The San Jose Comics Festival Mini Show will be held on Saturday January 16th at the SLG Publishing warehouse and gallery. More information, including the complete event guest and sponsor lists, can be found at the event website at www.sjcomicsfest.com.

Sounds interesting, I hope that it goes well and lots of folks are able to walk away with something that keeps them interested in comics, especially kids.
