After yesterday's record-breaking reports, Sony Pictures has had to revise Spider-Man 3's opening-weekend numbers. The film brought in even more money...
It turns out the weekend's final tally wasn't exactly that after all--instead of the reported $148 million gross, Sony now says the film has brought in $151 million across the US. International numbers weren't correct either, as they had to be scaled up from $227 million to $231 million.
The worldwide gross of Spider-Man 3 following Sunday night now officially stands at $382 million, $7 million more than original estimates.
According to Sony Pictures Vice Chairman Jeff Blake, about 80% of the people around the world who went to cinemas over the weekend went to see Spider-Man 3.
