As SUPERMAN’s “For Tomorrow” storyline rockets toward its dramatic conclusion, DC Comics announces that issue #213 (NOV040250) is sold out at the publisher. Written by Brian Azzarello with art by Jim Lee & Scott Williams, the issue sold out twelve days after arriving in stores on February 2.
“Brian and I set up to do a challenging, redefining take on Superman, not so much in terms of continuity but in terms of rebuilding the Man of Steel thematically and conceptually,” says Lee. “It's exciting to see fan reaction building and growing as the payoff nears and the themes and plotlines come into clearer and dramatic focus. I think everyone will be blown away by the ending we have in store.”
“Reader response to this storyline continues to be very strong as it nears the finale,” says Bob Wayne, DC’s VP — Sales. “We urge retailers to increase their orders on the upcoming chapters.”
The remaining chapters of “For Tomorrow” are available as follows:
• SUPERMAN #214 (DEC040240) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 9.
• SUPERMAN #215 (JAN050280) is solicited in the January issue of Previews (Volume XV #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 13.
DC does not plan to go back to press on this issue at this time. Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
