Tales of Tralodren™: The Beginning has won the Central Minnesota Printing Professional’s gold award for exceptional printing and superb craftsmanship.
Sentinel Printing Company, the printer for Tales of Tralodren™: The Beginning and Corrie’s other prose work, thought the graphic novel was worthy of a submission and recently found out just how worthy when it won a gold award.
“I’m happy to hear it won,” said Chad Corrie, the author of the graphic novel. “I knew it had been entered a while ago but had no idea that it had won the gold. It’s great to see and hear about how those who helped out on the book are benefiting with this recognition and exposure just for having taken part in its creation.”
“I thought the art was great but to see that it has won an award for printing quality and craftsmanship just adds some icing to the cake.”
Tales of Tralodren™: The Beginning is written as a narrative explaining the mythology and cosmology behind The World of Tralodren®; informing the reader to Corrie’s massive fantasy setting – tying readers from both the prose and graphic world together.
With a blending of European and American artwork by Lee Oaks and incredible colors by Hi-Fi Colour Design (Booster Gold, Birds of Prey, Army at Love, Strangers in Paradise, etc.) this graphic novel has a unique look that fits into an engaging, entertaining, and attractive package.
“Depicted [in the graphic novel] is a world of magic and mayhem, creation and conflict, tragedy and triumph. Of special note is the choice of a cursive-style font for the text, which conjures up an appropriate story-telling atmosphere for a truly engaging saga. ‘Tales Of Tralodren™: The Beginning’ is very highly recommended and entertaining reading -- and will lead graphic novel enthusiasts and science fiction fans looking forward to more graphic novel adaptations and original stories set in Chad Corrie's Tralodren™ universe.”
-Midwest Book Review
“No other graphic novel has dared to tell such a sweeping epic adventure in a fully illustrated manner such as this. Graphic novel fans will be blown away by the amount of thought and detail incorporated into each panel and page…[and] will [also] be amazed when they read the scope and scale of this graphic novel. Chad Corrie has created and set-up an entire universe of characters, locations, and creatures as well thought out and as carefully crafted as any Star Wars novel and as colorful as any Tolkien fantasy.”
-Brian Miller, Hi-Fi Colour Design
Tales of Tralodren™: The Beginning is available through Baker & Taylor, Ingram, Atlas Books, and other online and traditional distributors. It is now also available through Diamond Comics, the largest comic distributor in North America.
