Alterna Comics’ fan-favorite American Terror: Confession of a Human Smart Bomb comes to iPhone/iPod touch
Issues #1 and 2 of American Terror are now available on the Apple iTunes marketplace! Published by Robot Comics and bundled with the new iRobot Comics Viewer, reading American Terror should be one of the smoothest experiences to date for comics fans everywhere. Issue #1 is offered for free download. Issue #2 is available for the price of $0.99. Issue #3, which will conclude the first volume, is to be released shortly.
“From the eye-catching and button-pushing title, to the story by Jeff McComsey and James Cooper, the art by McComsey, and the right-out-of-the-gate speeding bullet pace, Alterna Comics may just have the best comic on their hands that they’ve published to date.” –Geeks of Doom
“This is a great book, and I think Alterna Comics could have a great success on their hands. American Terror could be considered a junior V for Vendetta–following in that book’s fight-for-revolution footsteps. Search this volume out and look for future volumes. You’ll want to read them.” –Karyn Pinter, Comics Bulletin
“The conventions of a political tale are presented smartly. American Terror is old-school yet relevant and modern. The artwork reminds me of how Comic Books really can be art. This book isn’t written to be an event-filled franchise, it is a well-written, beautifully weaved tale.” –Project Fanboy
Created by Jeff McConsey and James Comsey, originally published by Alterna Comics, American Terror is adapted by Robot Comics to create a version specifically formatted for mobile devices. The mobile adaptation of is also available for Android mobiles through the Android Market.
Synopsis
November 11th, 2041. Nobody celebrates Veteran’s Day anymore. Victor Sheppard is an old man in a new world. He remembers a time prior to the War of the Third World, when cops still carried guns and there was a ghetto in every city. A new age of peace and equality has begun, but it didn’t come cheap. Millions of people died and the world is a better place, but nobody remembers why. Haunted by his dead comrades, Victor decides to do the one thing he thought he’d never do: Spill his guts.
