Austin, Texas welcomes Abstract Studio to the first ever STAPLE: The Independent Media Expo on March, 5th.
STAPLE's first goal is to properly identify itself as a 'Small Press' expo. Chris Nicholas, the lead organizer of STAPLE, said, "Terry’s presence at STAPLE is big. As a self-publishing success story, he has inspired others to follow in his footsteps and produce work themselves. His willingness to support our venture exemplifies the DIY spirit of STAPLE."
Beyond motivating new artists, STAPLE also actively supports the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. “We’ll be donating a portion of the proceeds of the show to CBLDF,” said Nicholas.
Moore will be at the CBLDF booth at STAPLE throughout the day on Saturday with comic artist, Michael Lark (Gotham Central, The Pulse). The small gathering of guests and exhibitors will be doing sketches for fans, talking up projects in discussion panels and promoting independent publishing as a whole.
