Artist Mark Texeira will be making his way to Detroit this next weekend, May 15-17 for the Motor City Comic Con--and he's bringing a new art print with him!

Known worldwide for his illustrative interiors and fine art painting, think of "Ghost Rider," "Moonknight," "Black Panther," "Conan," "Vampirella," and you think of Mark Texeira and his body of amazing work!

This is showcased fully in the recently released  "Wolverine Origins Special" from Marvel Comics, which just debuted alongside the new "Wolverine Origins" movie; fantastic painted interiors for Wizards of the Coast for Hasbro; and a new Punisher limited series currently on the table!

Perhaps most exciting, a full color art book retrospective of Mark's career has just been completed and should be on the stands by midyear. Written by Renee Witterstaetter and published by Vanguard Productions, the 128 page volume entitled: "Tex--The Art of Mark Texeira...The Artist's Great Escape," is available in softcover, hardcover and a slipcase deluxe edition, which boasts 16 bonus plates!

Tex is also the subjects of an upcoming DVD from Woodcrest Productions and Eva Ink in the "Creator Chronicles" series, featuring an extensive interview with the creator and an in-depth tutorial! A must have for fans of Texeira's illustrative work. Look for more details later this year.

In the meantime, Texeira will be unveiling a brand new art print, just for the Motor City show, limited to 100 copies and signed by the artist. So come on by the table for details!

Other guests joining Mark at Motor City include Tim Bradstreet, Mitchell Breitweiser, Frank Brunner, Tommy Castillo, Russ Heath, Leo Liebelman (a new associate of Eva Ink), Todd Nauck, Mark Sparacio, Billy Tucci and many more!

Mark will be available all days of the  convention for signing and sketching! Coordinate with Robin Dale of Eva Ink/Woodcrest in Motor City for details and pricing.  Eva Ink artist, Michael Golden will be on the opposite coast May 16-17th at the San  Jose SuperCon. Check in with Renee Witterstaetter  at that show for details on Michael's schedule.

And whatever you do, git yourself to a con mid May, somewhere, somehow...and have an awesome time!
