BF has learned that Dynamite Entertainment has acquired The Phantom license in a new deal with King Features, who owns the rights to Lee Falk's classic character. The deal was supposedly wrapped a week ago.
The previous license-holder, Moonstone Books, will cease to publish new Phantom material following the release of their June issues and trade paperback collections.

For more on the news, and on Moonstone’s future post-Phantom, read our interview with current Phantom writer Mike Bullock. In the interview, Bullock discloses that Moonstone will fill the void left by The Ghost Who Walks with new material based on classic Pulp characters such as Gladiator, Black Cat, Spider and The Phantom Detective.
Plus, the company has acquired a new license, with a huge international fanbase, though at the time of writing, Moonstone was unwilling to reveal which popular character(s) will soon star in his/her/their own comic book series.
