Up and coming Visionary Comics Studio today announced its formal revamping and relaunch. "Like any starting company, after you’ve done something for a year, you look back and take a hard look at what you’ve done and where you want to go" said Creative Director C. Edward Sellner. "While we found we had come a long way in our first year of being public, we wanted to go even further in our second year."

As part of the Re-VISION-ing of Visionary, a new studio logo was introduced and the studio’s online presence was entirely overhauled. "We want to be one of the most user and fan friendly sites in the industry, so we went to great lengths to set that up. VCS’s main site now includes a listing of all the VCS stories in print, and listings for titles in production.

But the biggest news is the new, actual, online comics.

"We’re very proud of Digital Visions" Sellner added, "formatted and setup by our ace web master, Sean Routt. We’re launching the sleek new Digital Visions line right now, debuting eight features right off, with over 48 pages of story and art to look at! More will be forthcoming soon!"

On the main site, under the Comics Page tab are now online galleries by the top artists of the studio, and a listing of all the exciting properties VCS is involved with. Many of whom now have links to the new webcomic feature.

The full length features include the "Be A Visionary" Grand Prize Winning 31 Flavors by David Hayes and Kristopher Lohman. Also up are In the Demon’s Path by Vinnie Tartamella and An Eden in Hell by Nektarios Chrissos and George Martzoukos. There are also preview and prequel stories for such great properties as A. David Lewis’ Gangland Avalon with art by Azim Akberali, Aposperus by Chrissos and Martzoukos, and Mamluk by Trey Wickwire and Steven Yarborough.

Other properties, such as Gathering of Nations, Offspring, Midnight Run and Hell Patrol will be debuting webcomic stories soon.

Finally, the studio’s direct properties also debuted in the webcomics library launch with previews of both Savage World with art by Hernan Furlino and SoulStar with art by Ignacio Calero.

"We’ve started our second year with a seriously strong line of books, many of whom are approaching completion and will begin the process of moving into the print world." Sellner put in. "As a matter of fact, that leads into our biggest news!"

Visionary is very proud to announce it has signed a general partnership with Markosia Enterprises. This partnership has opened the door for a number of VCS properties to soon be coming through Markosia. "We will be announcing the first of these projects next week, but we just couldn’t keep this under our hats any longer!" Sellner added. The partnership is a broad based agreement which will put the studio in the public light stronger than ever as Markosia continues to prove itself a fantastic new publisher in the comics arena . Markosia has been prominent in the press lately for other great steps they’ve taken. They have also recently re-branded themselves in a partnership with AAM and also recently announced their latest licensed book, King Kong. "We’re hoping Visionary coming on board will make it a ‘Trifecta’ for them." Sellner smiled.

Titles coming through this partnership will bear the Visionary brand on the cover underneath the Markosia brand. "We owe Harry Markos and the folks at Markosia a lot." Sellner reflected. "They were the first publisher to believe in us enough to put their money where their mouth was, and run our backup features. So we could not be more thrilled that this relationship will now expand to include full books!"

The cover branding though should not be taken that Visionary is an exclusive imprint of Markosia. "The Markosia team was incredibly wonderful about letting us put our brand right out there, but we do want to emphasize we are not an exclusive imprint. We will certainly be looking to grow our relationship even more with Markosia, but we will also be connecting with other publishers and have some irons in the fire even now.

So which title will be coming from the new Visionary / Markosia partnership? Sellner laughed. "Hmmm, it probably won’t be a hard guess after checking our site." But for the actual details and formal announcement? "You’re going to have to wait, but only about a week. Promise."
