After being in stores for less than a month, the INVINCIBLE ULTIMATE COLLECTION HC Vol. 1 has sold out!

The $34.95 oversized volume collects the first 13 issues of INVINCIBLE ("quite possibly the Greatest Super Hero Comic in the Universe") in one volume with extras and behind-the-scenes material.

The INVINCIBLE ULTIMATE COLLECTION HC was massively over-printed, almost three times it's initial orders, and thanks to the demand, Image Comics is going back to press on it! Not only that, Image is printing over double the initial print run, to make sure that copies are available through the holidays.

INVINCIBLE was created by writer Robert Kirkman (who also writes The Walking Dead & Battle Pope for Image) and artist Cory Walker. The artchores were taken over at issue 8 by Ryan Ottley, who continues to draw the book.

"The Invincible hardcover, more than anything, was meant to be an easy way for new readers to get a large chunk of the series in one shot at a decent price," said Kirkman. "I think readers are willing to try new things as long as you make it easy for them. The idea of then cutting off potential new readers because of a quick sell out was very unsettling to me. The decision to go ahead with a second printing was easy, especially with the impending holiday season just around the corner."

INVINCIBLE follows the exploits of Mark Grayson, who is a typical teenager, a senior in high school and has a crappy part-time job. He also happens to be the son of the most powerful superhero on the planet. The double-sized 25th issue of was recently released and INVINCIBLE will be appearing soon in an issue of Marvel Team-Up.

The new printing of INVINCIBLE ULTIMATE COLLECTION HC Vol. 1 is  available for reorder now under the same Diamond code (APR051666) and  it will be in-stores mid-October. Your local retailer can contact  their Diamond Customer Service Representative for ordering.
