Broken Frontier

Larry Lieberman has been named Chief Marketing Officer, Virgin Comics / Virgin Animation, it was announced today by Sharad Devarajan, CEO, Virgin Comics / Virgin Animation, to whom he reports. Mr. Lieberman will be based in New York.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Lieberman will work closely with Mr. Devarajan in overseeing the company's US operations, as well as the company's Global Licensing Business, Strategic Marketing, Publishing and Advertising Sales Divisions.  Mr. Lieberman will also grow the company's worldwide Online and Wireless content initiatives.

"Larry brings to this role a deep understanding of both the creative and business aspects of the entertainment industry," commented Mr. Devarajan. "He has extensive experience with the media platforms that are most important to our long term success, and the dedication, passion and vision that are necessary to lead our international venture into the future. Formerly an executive with Comedy Central, Warner Music Group and MTV, Lieberman has had great success building successful media and licensing businesses in the US and internationally.  Most recently Mr. Lieberman served as President of the entertainment marketing agency, Forever Wild, a post he held since 2002. 

Lieberman earned a B.A. in Economics from Union College in Schenectady, NY and an M.B.A. form the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
