The current writer of DC Comic’s Legion of Super-Heroes joins the crew at FbR for an hour of comic talk on April 2nd.  Mark Waid has produced some of the most groundbreaking comic stories including his run on The Flash, Captain America, JLA, Fantastic Four and the must-read Kingdom Come.  He is working with Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, and Greg Rucka on the scripts for the weekly title 52 (starting May 10th) and later this year, we’ll know more about his upcoming collaboration with George Perez on The Brave and The Bold.

This will be Mark’s fifth time on the program and the broadcast is celebrating with a ‘STUMP WAID’ call-in contest.  During the entire hour, Fanboy Radio will be taking listener’s questions and comments to Mark Waid as expected but will also give callers the opportunity to ‘STUMP WAID’ by asking the comic writer a comic book trivia question.  Anyone who manages to ‘STUMP WAID’ will receive a free FUNimation DVD prize packet and a free CD of Sunday’s episode!

“Yes, we shall continue to tackle the biggest topics in comics and pop culture but this time we shall have Master Waid with us.” says show host Scott Hinze.  “I’m a huge fan and the audience has wanted him on since Infinite Crisis has been underway, and we listen to our listener’s message board posts and emails.   People ask me why we don’t do more wacky comic book trivia on the show and it’s quite simple really – Oliver and I stink at it.  But when we get guys like Mark on the show, we can stretch those muscles and quiet down those requests for awhile.  It should be a fun one.”

Join Scott, Oliver and the rest of the FbR Crew this Sunday for Mark Waid on the comic book show that cares – Fanboy Radio, The Voice of Comics.
