Red Eagle Entertainment, LLC™ announced today that Issue #2 of its comic book series based upon author Robert Jordan’s New Spring: The Novel, the prequel to his bestselling series The Wheel of Time™, is now being shipped by Red Eagle Entertainment to its subscribers around the world. Issue #2 of New Spring is also available for delivery to comic book retailers through Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc., the largest distributor of comics to the retail market in North America.
Red Eagle Entertainment also announced that a special preview of Issue #2 is available online at http://www.red-eagle-entertainment.com/preview_ns2re.php.
Since the entire retail allocation of Issue #1 was sold out before the first copy hit the shelves, Red Eagle Entertainment recommends that any customers who intend to purchase New Spring through a comic book store ask whether the retailer will accept advance deposits in order to guarantee availability of each issue in the comic book series.
New Spring #2 begins the story after the epic battle of the Blood Snow, and continues with the introduction to young Moiraine and her friend Siuan as they leave the protection of Tar Valon to search the battlefield for a newborn babe. They go forth under the pretense of giving aid, but Moiraine and Siuan know that they are searching for no less than the Dragon Reborn....and they are not alone in the hunt.
Red Eagle Entertainment is setting aside a limited number of copies of every issue in the New Spring series, including the premiere Issue #1, exclusively for buyers who purchase a subscription to the complete series from Red Eagle Entertainment’s online store located at www.red-eagle-entertainment.com/shop.
The adaptation of New Spring was co-written by Robert Jordan and comic book veteran Chuck Dixon. The series features artwork by Mike S. Miller, colors by Étienne St. Laurent, letters by Dave Lanphear of Artmonkeys, and book design by Lithium Pro Design. Production of the New Spring comic series is being coordinated by comic book studio Dabel Brothers Production (DB Pro).
Red Eagle Entertainment intends to release a graphic novel based upon the New Spring prequel in 2006. Red Eagle Entertainment is also developing a live-action feature film based upon The Eye of the World, the first full-length novel in Robert Jordan’s critically acclaimed series, The Wheel of Time.
Further information regarding the New Spring comic book and graphic novels, and other Red Eagle projects are available at www.red-eagle-entertainment.com and at major websites maintained by fans of Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time series.
