Broken Frontier

Top Cow Productions announced today that the three Witchblade issues tying into this summer's First Born will each feature a special guest penciler. All three issues will feature the same cover artist and inker along with regular series writer, Ron Marz (Ion, Samurai: Heaven & Earth).

Witchblade #110, #111, and #112 will coincide with the release of this summer's Top Cow event, First Born. The tie in issues will feature expanded story lines that add depth to the experiences of former Witchblade bearer Sara Pezzini and current bearer Danielle Baptiste. Witchblade #110 will feature pencils by Matt Haley (Superman Returns, Who Wants To Be A Superhero?). Witchblade #111 will feature pencils by Stephen Sadowski (JSA, Red Sonja Annual). Witchblade #112 will feature pencils by Rick Leonardi (JLA Classified, Superman Returns). All three issues will feature inks by Kevin Nowlan (Batman: Black & White, Superman vs Aliens) and covers by Mike Mayhew (Vampirella, The Pulse)

"We wanted to make these issues something  special, since they tie in to a storyline in First Born that is really going to reshape the Top Cow universe. Getting pencilers like Matt Haley, Steve Sadowski and Rick Leonardi qualifies as pretty special in my book, but then to have Kevin Nowlan agree to ink all three ... well, that was beyond any of our wildest dreams," said writer Ron Marz, "These issues are going to be absolutely beautiful."
