Broken Frontier

Highlight is a chat with Ted Naifeh (Courtney Crumrin, Polly & the Pirates Vol. 1) about Polly & the Pirates Vol. 2, due out early 2011.  Ted is writing vol. 2 and has asked artist Robbi Rodriguez (Maintenance, Tek Jansen) to illustrate the book for him. This is only the second time in Ted's career that another artist has illustrated his work.  Both the creators are very excited and we'll be showing some exclusive art at the panel.


Ray Fawkes' new all ages graphic novel POSSESSIONS VOL. 1 just went on sale a week ago.  Reception's been great and Ray will be at C2E2 for the official con-premier of the book.

Jamie S. Rich, Nicolas Hitore De, and Joelle Jones' new book SPELL CHECKERS VOL. 1 will premier at C2E2 April 16-18th in Chicago. It's Mean Girls with magic. Buffy the Vampire Slayer without the do-gooder whining. The Craft without the crap goth clothes.  Trust us, if you like bitchy-high-school-girl-dramities you'll love Spell Checkers!

The Brazilian hit graphic novel MONDO URBANO by Rafael Albuquerque, Mateus Santolouco, and Eduardo Medeiros found an american home at Oni Press and is on store shelves in June.

Oni has picked up GUERRILLAS by Brahm Revel. The Volume 1 collection is currently slated for Oct.

The much anticipated historical fiction GN focusing on the life and death of Rasputin, PETROGRAD, by Phil Gelatt with illustration by Tyler Crook is slated for a November release.
