The Comic-Con exclusive edition of Jason Kruse's hysterical fantasy masterpiece "World of Quest," from publisher Komikwerks, LLC, sold out completely at the recent event in San Diego.
Convention-goers were clamoring for the limited edition black and white printing of "World of Quest," which was prepared exclusively for the Comic-Con International. By the midday Saturday Kruse was turning away disappointed fans.
"I had hoped there would be interest at the show but I never expected to sell out by midday Saturday!" said Kruse, who sold the exclusives from his outpost in artist's alley. "It's just so gratifying to see the interest in my book after so many years in development. I just want to say a big thank you to all the great people that purchased a copy and hope that everyone'll check out the full-color version when it's released in the next few weeks."
The graphic novel has been called "'Conan the Barbarian' by way of 'Calvin and Hobbes'," by Eisner award-winning humor writer Keith Giffen who adds, "Do the comicbook market a favor and support this book."
"World of Quest" tells a story set in the land of Odyssia, where former hero Quest unwillingly becomes the bodyguard to Prince Nestor, a young smart-alec who knows the whereabouts of a mystic dagger that is the key to ultimate power. Together, they'll face creatures, bounty hunters and other evils vying for the weapon. In the meantime, they'll have to deal with each other!
The limited edition Comic-Con exclusive may be sold out, but fans can still pick up the full-color graphic novel at find comic shops everywhere.
The book is available from Diamond Comics Distributors, from the May previews catalog, ordering code MAY06 3255! Ask your retailer for it today!
