Today, Fox has released its first teaser trailer of X3, the highly anticipated follow-up to the monster hit X2. The newest X-Men film, directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour), hits theatres on May 26, 2006.

For a first glimpse at Angel, Beast and other mutant studs in standard or High Definition, format, visit the Apple Trailer website. If you don't have it installed on your computer, you will need to download Quicktime 7 to be able to view the trailer.
Earlier today, USA Today ran a feature story on X3 and also released a six-picture photo gallery, featuring Beast (played by Kelsey Grammer, Frasier), Angel (Ben Foster, Six Feet Under) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman, duh!).
Although many fans voiced their concern over the departure of Bryan Singer, the directer of the first two movies of the X-franchise, Hugh Jackman is quick to 'claw down' the naysayers: "I wouldn't have come back if I thought we weren't going to do the series justice. I think X-Men — and Bryan — led the rebirth of comic book movies. We weren't going to treat a third one lightly."
Avi Arad, who as the head of Marvel Studios oversees all of the publisher's Hollywood adventures, agrees: "I don't care what director we would have brought in; there would have been concern. We had to make sure we were coming back with something serious, something new, that would improve the series. I think we did."
