From the demented mind of Rob Zombie, comes THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO, a comic about the strangest crime-fighters you've ever seen. With the animated feature film starring Paul Giamatti, Rosario Dawson and Brian Posehn soon to be released, Image Comics is collecting the entire hit series in one volume. Now is your chance to pick up the madness right where it all began! THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO is a 288 page trade paperback that collects all of the adventures of Monsterland's avenger.
Rob Zombie stormed the cultural landscape as the lead singer and songwriter of White Zombie. His gritty tales, gruff vocal style along with his fascination with B-movies and horror comics quickly attracted a huge and devout fan base. He has gone on to write and direct the box office smash HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES and it's sequel THE DEVIL'S REJECTS. With his long time love of comics and a story in mind perfect for the printed page, Rob wrote EL SUPERBEASTO.
"When Rob Zombie writes a comic book, it attracts the best comic book artists in the business. This book features Tony Moore, Dan Brereton, EJ Su, Tommy Lee Edwards, J. Scott Campbell with Kieron Dwyer as the anchor," says collaborator Val Staples. "Kieron is the Michelangelo of alternative comics and kids are going to lose their minds when they see this romp through Monsterland! "
"The great thing about comics is that there is no budget," says Zombie. "You can do any crazy thing that you can think of. For
example: I need a giant swamp monster to shoot out of a mechanical donkey's ass and attack a female space alien with DD breasts on top of an exploding volcano, that's a tough call in a film, but in comics it's NO PROBLEMO."
To celebrate the upcoming release, a contest is being held on the El Superbeasto mySpace account where fans can win free prizes including copies of the trade signed by Rob Zombie himself! Stop by today and find out how to win.
