Add another one to the list. As Gary Tyrrell observed, Wil Wheaton's webcomics profile seems to have grown out of all proportion to his "real-world" fame. Scott Kurtz plays with him as a laid-back guest, while Jon Rosenberg wonders what might make him snap, then merges him with Wheaton's own alter ego. And Jeffrey Rowland portrays him as... actually, I'm not quite sure what Jeffrey's going for there: it could be that Wheaton is a blogger's blogger and therefore can't spell, or it could be that Wheaton is a master of the Internet and knows that it can't spell. At any rate, one thing is certain: webcomics haven't seen the last of Mr. I'm-So-Nice-You'll-Stop-Calling-Me-Wesley.

The vast, uncharted waters of online community, now charted.

I was unexpectedly charmed by Nick Capetanakis, Todd Livingston, Brendon Fraim and Brian Fraim's America Jr. It's the tale of a sleepy American anytown that suddenly finds itself its own independent nation. The satire is a little too pat and the artists are a little too fond of one female body type, but if you enjoy the lawmaking storytelling of The West Wing or Ex Machina, you'll probably find something to amuse you here.
