Gamer comics often give me the feeling of watching someone else play Street Fighter: watching someone go through a set of motions with little variety isn't my idea of a good time. But as with superhero comics, every once in a while something comes along to justify my interest in the genre...
Over on DeviantArt, Torokun turns a simple Super Smash Brothers tutorial into "Wile E. Coyote as directed by the Wachowskis." Go here and click the image for a good look.
Filling in for Scott Ramsoomair, Shawn Handyside turns in a rich Pokemon Games mock tutorial for VG Cats. Ramsoomair himself has hit some home runs this year, like this deconstruction of video-game graphics.
But if you're in the mood for the kind of thick, juicy steak o' storytelling that a really narrative RPG can provide, your best bet is still The Order of the Stick. Recent highlight: Redemption is not for everyone.
