Matt Boyd and Ian McConville's account of Boyd's recent firing has twice demonstrated the atmosphere of heightened tension after the Virginia Tech attacks. The firing itself occurred because of Boyd's offhand, misinterpreted remark, resulting in the comics, which were similarly misinterpreted and led to a police investigation. Does Boyd seem like the next Cho to you? Judge for yourself here, here, and here.
As she hinted in her recent interview, things are looking very grim indeed for one of Maritza Campos' characters, one who first appeared over eight years ago... and even if he lives through this, he might regret it. Start the recently concluded arc, "Dust to Dust Yo," and get caught up with a story far more suspenseful than "The Inevitable Resurrection of Captain America."
Finally, Eric Burns' guest run on Randy Milholland's Something Positive concludes today. Burns has done something almost impossible: written a webcomics story around a role-playing session that feels entirely fresh, funny and believable. To spoil the ending would be dirty pool: begin the seven-part story here.
