Before Christmas we brought you news of a new event for our UK comics calendar. Sheffield Comic ARts Fair (SCARF) debuts this October and, courtesy of organiser Chris Mole, we can bring you the full line-up of exhibitors below. Always very pleasing to see new fairs and festivals popping up to repopulate events listings after the pandemic years claimed so many longstanding favourites.
The guest line-up for a new comics event in Sheffield, UK – Sheffield Comic ARts Fair (SCARF), being run by writer/letterer/editor Chris Mole (Secrets of the Majestic) – has now been announced.
“I’m really happy with the range of guests who are tabling at this first edition of SCARF,” said organiser Chris Mole. “We had several clear objectives in mind when we reviewed the applications: to showcase local creators as well as we could, to curate a diverse list of guests across gender/ethnicity/sexuality lines and to try and provide a space for younger/less experienced creators to table alongside more established names. We’ve also tried to cover the full spectrum of comics creators (from writers to artists, letterers to editors and zine-makers to publishers) to show the diverse range of skills and talents that exist in the comics industry.
I know we definitely have room to improve for the next event but I hope that this list of extraordinarily talented guests can provide something for everyone who visits in October!”
Several of Broken Frontier’s Six to Watch in previous years will be tabling at the event, including Rein Lee (2025), Zoè Delautre Corral (2024), J Webster Sharp (2023) and Joe Stone (2019).

SCARF will take place at Trafalgar Warehouse (120 Trafalgar St, Sheffield City Centre, S1 4JT), a dedicated event space in the heart of the city on October 10th 2026. As well as the guests listed above, it will include a workshop for kids (run by Marc Jackson of Room for Comics/Macc-Pow Festival) and a dedicated reading/relaxation corner run by Graphic Novel Reading Room.
