VERY TINY COMICS ANTHOLOGY #1: MONSTERS
Introducing the world’s smallest comics anthology from some of the UK’s biggest comics artists – Jamie Smart (Bunny vs Monkey), Simone Lia (Fluffy), Warwick Johnson-Cadwell (Hellboy), and many more. Launching from a retro gumball machine at Thought Bubble 2025.
The first ever Very Tiny Comics Anthology #1: MONSTERS, is being loaded into a double-height gumball machine, and will be stomping over the hills to land at Thought Bubble Comic Art Festival on November 15th, 2025.
The Very Tiny Comics anthology is the quirky, chrome, plastic and paper brainchild of Deadly Knitshade. It is a gargantuan tiny production, featuring an impressive hoard of 25 brilliant comics artists. The range of artists featured runs from bestselling kid’s comics authors, Eisner nominated and award-winning graphic novelists, competition prizewinners, Dark Horse, Marvel and DC comic creators, small press heroes, to regular contributors to the New Yorker, Guardian, and Private Eye.
The idea is simple:
- 25 EXCLUSIVE limited edition 22mm (1 inch) Very Tiny Comics
- 25 Comic Artists
- 25 original new stories created specially for the anthology
- 25 limited edition Very Tiny Comics to collect
- Dispensed from a gargantuan double-height retro gumball machine

Every 22mm comic is a thing of beauty. No bigger than a 50 pence piece; each Very Tiny Comic is individually cut and handfolded, with a custom dust jacket designed for each story, all served up in clear gumball capsule bubble. You buy a token, feed it to the machine, and turn the dial. You won’t know which comic you’re going to get until it falls into your hand.
