Welcome news! PrideCAF is back this September after taking a year off in 2025. For more on the festival check out our Lydia Turner’s report on the 2024 event here which includes an interview with the organising team.
Pride Comic Art Festival Returns This September after Year Hiatus
Pride Comic Art Festival, the UK’s first comic and zine festival dedicated to LGBTQIA+ creators is set to make its return this September.
The organisers of the festival took 2025 out not only to recharge but to plan improvements and expansion for 2026.
“We wanted to improve and implement as much as we could in the festival without burning ourselves out.” said Nate Adam, co-organiser of PrideCAF.

This year’s return sees a new venue for the festival. Sparks Bristol, a once derelict Marks and Spencers, is a hub of community and sustainability. PrideCAF will be taking over their large first floor as well a room for talks and workshops.
The festival’s return has been made even more possible thanks to a £500 grant from the Bristol Pride Community Fund. The funding will help bring well known names within the industry to meet attendees and share their experience and knowledge.
“We’re really excited to be back,” Nate said. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again. An attendee once described PrideCAF as their happy place and we’re so proud we can make that happen.”

The festival aims to celebrate and platform LGBTQIA+ comic and zine creators from all over the country. Sharing their work and stories at a time where freedom of expression sexuality and gender identity has been increasingly targeted, censored and discriminated against over the last few years.
Applications to exhibit your work at PrideCAF are open till the 24th of April. Application form can be found here.
