One of the most positive things in on the UK comics calendar is the resurgence in grassroots events over the last year or two. The Goblin Market returns to Stanley Arts in South London this month with a great line-up of creators and plenty of additional programming. Check out the press release below.

This October 18th Stanley Arts welcome back the fantastical Goblin Market: Comics and Zines, for goblins and by goblins! Be weird and creative together in goblin unity at the Goblin Market.
A curious day of comics, zines and creations, featuring loads of your favourite artists. Plus, drop-in workshops, trinket trade, communal table, animation showcase plus other random weirdery.
- Just in time for Halloween, the Goblin Market pops up to bring together comics and zines for goblins – and the goblins who make comics – from across the UK

- Meet comic creators, and buy exclusive comics, zines, prints, makery and
- A communal table for people to drop off their work in the morning and sell throughout the day.

The Goblin Community Table!
A place where Goblins can share their self published work.
Give your details when you drop off stock – drop off period is 10am-12pm, First come first serve, anywhere from 3 to 10 copies.
Your details are tracked in a spreadsheet next to your sales by one of two goblin volunteers manning the table, your remaining stock you pick up at the end of the day and your sales are transferred back to you in the following week.
We will say no to any racist, homophobic or discriminatory material!

MONSTER MAKING with NanaSometimesDraws

Join us for some Supervised Goblin Drawing! Let’s draw goblins together with @nanasometimesdraws from 12:30 for 45 exciting minutes. See the pic she has provided as proof that she is capable of assisting you in achieving your goblin drawing goals. Does not have to be in black and white, all levels welcome.
2:30pm – 3:15pm
Doodle Your Life with Natalie Beale

Building a relaxed sketchbook habit to capture everyday thoughts, routines, ideas and mishaps. A visual journaling workshop.
4pm-5pm Animation Showcase

A smorgasbord of short animated films released by independent creatives, good to have a beer and goblin popcorn in front of and relax. First half all ages friendly, second half a little bit spooky.

Accessibility information:
Stanley Arts has excellent inclusive accessibility. All toilets are gender neutral.
Wheelchair access to the Main Hall is separate from the main entrance; it is the fifth and final entrance on your right as you are coming up the hill, below the clock tower. This entrance is accessed via a ramp with a push button for a power assisted door which leads to a lobby. The accessible toilet is on the left as you come through this entrance.
