So… if you’re exhibiting in Harrogate in November then our pals on the TB team will have e-mailed you this week with the below offer for our annual ‘Thought Bubble Month’ of coverage. It’s become something of a tradition here at BF, giving those attending some of the highlights of the mega phenomenon that the con has become and providing you with a reviews-led shopping list of essential purchases.
A couple of additional notes to what’s already gone out while I remember them. Firstly, one of the core aims of this event on the site is to reflect the breadth and depth of what’s on show at Thought Bubble. So if you work in more traditional genre fiction narrative and are assuming your work is not in our usual areas of coverage then take heed… this is the time of year when you are most likely to get some attention from us so don’t be deterred! And, secondly, if you’re debuting issue #2 of your serialised story or, say volume 3 of the trade paperback collection of your comics series, then make sure to include the previous issues/volumes with your request so we can assess the whole story.

Thought Bubble Month 2026 at Broken Frontier

As we do every year Broken Frontier will once again be providing an entire month of dedicated reviews, interviews, features and previews in the weeks preceding this year’s Thought Bubble. Last year we managed to post an incredible 75 articles for our Thought Bubble Month coverage. You can revisit them all here.
Once again the first two weeks will be interview-focussed with the second two weeks promoting your work more through reviews. To facilitate this, though, we will be needing your help. And the sooner you get your work to us the more it increases your chances of being featured on BF.
Here’s what the team are offering:
Reviews/Previews: We know Thought Bubble is the big event UK creators work towards for debut comics/books so we want to give as much space to them as possible. Our deadline this year to get review copies to us (digital is fine!) to have a realistic chance of coverage is Friday, October 30th. E-mail us at reviews@brokenfrontier.com and put “THOUGHT BUBBLE 2026” at the beginning of your e-mail subject line. Please include the PDF or a link to where we can download the comic, along with three higher-res pages that we can use in the body of the review or run as a potential preview instead if we don’t get to a full review.
All work is welcome regardless of genre, style or theme, and special consideration will be given to material from marginalised creators. Do not be put off if you didn’t get coverage in previous years. It’s not a reflection on your comics – in 2025 even though we hit 75 articles we had over 250 review/interview submissions. There’s a lot of good reading out there so keep persevering!
Interviews: We will be curating a number of short, 6-question interviews to run at the start of our coverage. Everyone is eligible but, as ever, we are keen to hear from international creators in particular for possible interviews, especially if they haven’t featured on BF before and may not have new comics debuting at Thought Bubble. These would be conducted by e-mail across September ready to start running from the second half of October.
The key point to reiterate is that the earlier review copies come in the more we can feature on the site and the better chance you have of getting a spot. We will be working as far in advance this year as possible so that we are ready to go with a constant stream of TB goodness when Thought Bubble Month begins in October. We won’t get to everyone – Thought Bubble is just too huge an event for our small team in that regard – but we will do our very best to give as representative a sampling of work as possible!
