It’s just possible we may have… taken a position… on generative AI “art” here at Broken Frontier. So obviously we’re more than happy to shine a spotlight on projects that have a similar stance. Check out the press release below for more information on Jeffrey Brown’s Climb Every Mountain: An Argument Against the Use of A.I. in Creative Endeavors. And don’t forget we have a work-in-progress resource list on the the threat of AI “art” here at BF.
JEFFREY BROWN SAVES THE ACT OF CREATING!

Every new leap in technology brings both supporters and detractors but never has an innovation so galvanized artists as artificial intelligence. While photography and digital art disrupted commercial and fine art, A.I. threatens to completely destroy human artistic expression.
This conundrum inspired New York Times best-selling author and cartoonist Jeffrey Brown (LOVED AND LOST: A Relationship Trilogy, Darth Vader and Son) to process his feelings about A.I. through the best way he knows how: drawing a comic!
“Using A.I. to make art focuses on an end product,” Brown explains, “Whatever shortcuts you use skips over what art is really about: the process of making something and how you find meaning in that process.”
CLIMB EVERY MOUNTAIN: An Argument Against the Use of A.I. in Creative Endeavors presents the act of climbing a mountain as an analogy to creative expression. The comic asks artists to question where they would draw the line between a tool to help them express an idea, and a tool that replaces their process, robbing their creative work of any surprise or meaning. What do you lose when you take unnecessary shortcuts, and skip ahead to an end product?
Climb Every Mountain is available in various risograph-printed formats including mini-comics and prints exclusively through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign launching May 8, 2026. Campaign backers will have access to limited-edition rewards such as hand-drawn and signed artwork, process packs filled with sketches and a bonus comic, original art, and mentorship meetings.
