The Gosh! Comics and Broken Frontier Drink and Draw In-Person returns for its fourth revived outing at our new venue of The Royal George on Friday, September 26th, 2025. Due to the Lakes International Comics Art Festival taking place that weekend we will be missing two of the regular team (cartoonist-in-residence Mark Stafford and our own Andy Oliver) but we have a great line-up stepping into the breach.
Again, don’t worry if you’re not London-based, our online version still happens regardless. Our reborn “real world” event though continues the past tradition of rotating guest artists alongside our new artist-in-residence Mark Stafford. Co-hosts are BF’s Andy Oliver and Gosh!’s Will Humberstone. For our second return night our guest artists are Kiera Won and Leo Fox. More details on them below. The evening starts at Gosh! at 6.30pm with the three rounds of themed drawing taking place in The Royal George from 7pm onwards. Please note: seating is limited and priority will be given to those who meet at the shop. Work from the featured artists will be on sale on the evening.
Drink and Draw fun at the last #GoshBFDD
So onto our artistic line-up for late September…
Antoine Cossé is an illustrator whose comics work has been most associated with Breakdown Press, including titles like Showtime and Mutiny Bay. The latter of which was reviewed here at BF where we described it as “an eerie character study wherein historical reality melts into an illusory otherworldliness.”
Shazleen Khan is a multiple Broken Frontier Award-winning artist who is most well-known for their long-running webcomic BUUZA!! and its print collections. Shazleen also collaborated with Saadia Faruqi on the graphic novel Saving Sunshine.
Peter Morey is a Drink and Draw regular and the versatile creator behind such comics as the “unpredictable and creatively daring” slice-of-life saga Endswell and the “diverting escapism” of Animal Spirits.
