Back in 2022 we covered Lyndon White’s fantasy graphic novel Candles at Broken Frontier, calling it ” a much deserved moment in the spotlight for the stunning visuals of Lyndon White.” White is returning to that world in a new project Embers with the first of two volumes coming to Kickstarter soon. As faith in magic dwindles and dark forces stir, a Fire Demon stalks the land corrupting the townspeople of Wispmire into cinder and ash. After giving up on magic, Idris, a young wizard returns home to find a town cursed by old sins and in the protection of the mysterious Keeper of the Grove.
While some shun magic and others pay tribute to the Keeper, Idris must come to terms with his past and the town that banished him as a child. Will he forgive the people who caused him such pain? Or let revenge and hatred burn, and corrupt this wizards’ heart?

Embers is an original, 144-page fantasy graphic novel and brand new story, set in the same world as Lyndon’s previous graphic novel, Candles. Taking place a few years before the events of Candles, Idris is trying to find his place in the world and through a twisted turn of fate, ends up back in his home town that is in dire need of a wizard.
Both Embers and Candles are their own contained stories and can be read in any order, or on their own. Expanding on the original format, Embers is printed as an oversized hardback. Creating more space for the painterly, full-colour artwork. This Kickstater is for the first of a two part graphic novel series.
